FREE WORKSHOP: Feldenkrais Method for Back Pain
Sunday, Jan. 6th 5- 6 pm
St. Luke's Church, Metuchen, New Jersey
The Feldenkrais Method, named for its originator, Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais, D. Sc., is very effective in people with chronic back pain. Results can often be felt after just one session. It is a form of somatic education that uses gentle movement and directed attention to improve movement and enhance human functioning. Through this Method, you can reduce or eliminate chronic back pain and increase your ease and range of motion. By increasing your awareness of your habitual neuromuscular patterns, the Feldenkrais Method assists you to live your life more fully, efficiently and comfortably.
This workshop will show you how to:
- Overcome back pain and strain
- Increase flexibility in your spine, chest and pelvis.
- Discover your power center and your strength
- Improve your breathing and posture
Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a mat and towel or pillow.

This workshop will introduce you to the Feldenkrais Method, an extremely effective movement therapy based on sound neurological principles which benefits both your body and mind through sequences of gentle, no-stress movements. Learn how changing some of your habitual ways of moving can increase your energy and alleviate chronic pain and fatigue.
We recommend comfortable clothing so you can move easily, and please bring a mat and towel or pillow.
